We have not yet received an answer from you to our letter

of the 11th instant.

We would remind you that on the Second Reading of the Bill the Attomey General stated as follows :-

"It is not proposed, on the passing of this Ordinance, "to make these regulations but it is intended that they *should have full consideration and should not be passed "until everyone who has anything to say upon them has

"been heard".

Our clients are very anxious to be heard upon the regulations and have been preparing a statement of their case on the faith of the Attomey General's statement and we shall be glad to have two or three days' notice when the Committee are prepared to hear them.

On the 4th December we wrote a letter to the Colonial

To this letter we Secretary of which we enclose you a copy. have had no reply but before our clients appear before the Committee they will be glad to be informed of the substance of any complaint alleged against them in order that they may take the necessary steps to meet it.
